Mr. Jon Blevins
This is my 5th year teaching at Lugoff-Elgin High School. My content areas include U.S. History, World History, Economics, U.S. Government, and A.P. U.S. Government & Politics. In addition to teaching, I am the boys varsity head tennis coach. Before coming to LEHS, I worked in the legal profession and instructed undergraduates in business law at the University of South Carolina. I hold degrees from the College of William & Mary (Bachelor of Arts), Drexel University (Master of Science), and Mississippi College School of Law (Doctor of Jurisprudence). I am currently completing a Master of Arts degree at Columbia University in the City of New York (Teachers College). My wife Mary is a nationally licensed professional counselor. We have a baby boy named Dallas. We also love our pets: we have a yellow Labrador retriever named Solomon and a cat named Phoebe. In my spare time, I enjoy road cycling, playing tennis, traveling, attending sporting events, golfing, participating in Porsche Club of America (PCA) events, reading, and collaborating with other members of the International High IQ Society.
