Mrs. Marthers graduated from Ridge View High School in Columbia, SC in 2012. She graduated from Winthrop University in 2016 and received her Bachelor of Science with Honors in Early Childhood Education, but is certified in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She received her Masters of Education with Honors in Elementary Education from American College of Education in 2022. While she was raised in an Army family and has lived in various places, she claims Blythewood, SC as her hometown.

Mrs. Marthers was married in April 2017 to Tyler Marthers. They live in Camden with their 2 year old daughter, Harper. She enjoys reading and writing in her spare time, as well as crocheting plushes and afghans for herself and her friends.

She has spent her entire teaching career in Kershaw County and has taught in first, third, and fifth grade.
