Hello Bullpups and Families!  I am so excited to serve as your Reading Interventionist this year at Pine Tree Hill.  I look forward to working with students in many different grade levels throughout the year.  Teaching reading is something that I am very passionate about and I can't wait to encourage all of our students to grow that same love of reading.  I will also be acting as our schools communication director for this school year.  I am excited to have the opportunity to keep parents and the community informed about all the great things going on in our school.  

I was born in Indiana into a military family that never stayed in one place long!  I have lived in seven different states and two foreign countries.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Bowie State University, and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Reading from Concorida University.  This is my seventh year in the field of education with experience in kindergarten through fifth grade.  This is my sixth year serving in Kershaw County School district.    

I am married to a member of the US Air Force and together we have four amazing children: Haleigh, Lisa, Isabelle, and Nathan.  Haleigh attends college at UofSC and my other three children attend Kershaw county schools. 

I am excited to be working at Pine Tree Hill for the 2022-2023 school year.
