Mrs. Della Johnson

Hello! My name is Della Johnson and I am so pround to be a teacher here at Wateree Elementary. This year will be my 25th year of teaching. I am married and have three children and one grandchild. In my 25 years of teaching, I have taught PreK, Kindergarten, First, and Third grades. I have been an educational Coordinator and I am also an Early Childhood Consultant for Zoo-Phonics. I love teaching and learning and look forward to working with you this year.

In my spare time, I love reading, reading, and reading. I also enjoy working on computers, photography, singing, and playing with my Grandson. I believe that learning should be fun and the students in my classroom will enjoy a variety of learning experiences as we explore learning and discover the world together. I love teaching and I know that this is going to be a fabulous school year.

My partner in this learning adventure is Kelli Carter (the future Mrs. Burt). This is Miss Carter's second year at Wateree working as an Educational Assistant. She grew up here in Lugoff and graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School. She went on to attend the Art Institute in Charleston and previously worked as a photographer. Together, we are the perfect pair to help your child progress through first grade.

Our class theme is "Using the W.I.L.D. to Teach the Child!" WILD stands for Where I Learn & Discover. Our classroom is a place where we help children learn and grow to be the best they can be. We hope you enjoy the journey with us. If you are interested in more, you can check out our Google Site at the link below.
