Welcome! My name is Emily Baccomo, and I am the new librarian here at LEMS. This is my 10th year in education, and I am very excited about this school year.
I am originally from Winnsboro, S.C., and in 2009, I graduated from Clemson University. After graduation, I returned to Winnsboro, where I taught 4th through 6th grade, mostly math and science. In 2012, I graduated from Columbia College where I received my Master's degree in Divergent Learning. I recieved my second Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I enjoy discovering new things, especially in technology, to share with my students and colleagues.
I currently live in Lugoff with my husband, Jason, and our two sons, Jay and Ben. Sometimes I feel like I live in a zoo because we have 2 dogs (Oscar and Lilly), 2 ferrets (Penny and Bernadette), and fish. When I am not at school, you can find me spending time with family and friends, baking, reading, working on vinyl projects, and cheering for my Clemson Tigers!
Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope you find the resources listed useful!
