WELCOME TO SECOND GRADE

I am so excited to have your child in my class this year! This is my fifth year as a teacher and my fifth year at Midway. Before making the move to second grade, I taught third grade for two years. During my first year, I was honored to have been named Kershaw County’s Outstanding First Year Teacher. We are going to have an exciting year of learning! I love teaching and my daily goal is to make our classroom a happy place to learn.

 I was born and  raised in Lugoff, graduating from Lugoff-Elgin High School in 2010. In December 2014, I graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate with my Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary Education. I still reside in Lugoff, with my bulldog Bonnie. I recently became engaged to my high school sweetheart Cody. Our wedding will be in the fall of this year. I enjoy cooking and spending time with family and friends.
