Dear Parents,

      My name is Emily Andreas (formerly, Branham) and I am excited to have your child in my 4th grade classroom this year.  I would like to extend a sincere welcome to your family as we partner in making the best of your child's education.  I am certain that we will make this the BEST school year ever!

      My husband and I live in Lugoff with our precious yellow lab, Cooper.  We enjoy spending time outdoors whether it's to go fishing, hiking, or at the beach.  I love being involved in the community and volunteering at our local animal shelter.  I graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Elementary Education.  I proudly accepted the “Outstanding First Year Teacher of the Year” Honor Roll Award my first year teaching, and the Golden Apple Award at Wateree.  I am thrilled to continue my teaching career where it all started, here at Wateree!  I enjoy building relationships with my students so they feel comfortable and safe in our classroom environment. 

      It is my responsibility to provide my students with motivation in order for each of them to grow as individuals.  I also want my students to know that I LOVE them and CARE about them, as well as who they become.  Communication with parents is very important and I look forward to talking with you and/or meeting with you regularly.  I will be working very hard to provide your child, as well as other students, a safe and positive place to learn!
