Mrs. Kimberly H. Stokes

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am the Special Projects Coordinator at CLC, and this is my third year here. I am also the High School Microburst Employability Soft Skills instructor.

This is my twenty-eighth year of teaching! I taught high school for 19 years. I have taught at Camden High School (4 years), Lugoff-Elgin High School (4 years), and Blythewood High School (10 years). I also taught middle school (Stover Middle) for five years.

I live in Lugoff with my wonderful family, and we attend First Baptist Church of Camden. My husband is Coach Randy Stokes, former Athletic Director and head football coach at L-E Middle School. He was also the varsity baseball coach at Lugoff-Elgin High School. He just retired after 28 years of teaching/coaching in Kershaw County!  My son Heath is a Natural Resource Management major at Central Carolina Tech, and he played baseball for American Legion Post 17. My daughter Hayden is a ninth grader at Lugoff-Elgin High School. She plays volleyball for the LEHE Demons as well as club volleyball. Needless to say, I spend a lot of time at volleyball courts and baseball fields!

In my spare time, I am a powerlifter and runner. Eight years ago, I placed first in the SC Women's Master's class Southern Powerlifting Federation power meet. I am an avid Clemson fan and attend football and baseball games.  Coach Stokes coached Monte Lee (LEHS 1995 graduate/baseball player), former head baseball coach at Clemson. So, baseball games are even more special to us! I also love to cook, read, volunteer in the community (United Way), and spend time with my family and my English Cocker spaniel, Gunnar.

Again, welcome to the new school year, and I look forward to getting to know each of the students at CLC. I also look forward to building relationships with our parents, business representatives, and community members.
