I have been in the office of Student Information for Kershaw County School District since 2010. Some of my responsibilities include managing PowerSchool, PowerTeacher, and the PowerSchool Student and Parent Portal; tracking and reporting student attendance; representing the school district in truancy proceedings; preparing and submitting state funding reports; coordinating online registration; reporting dropout data; and developing enrollment projections.
I began my career in education as an English teacher at Irmo High School. In 1998, I began teaching English at Lugoff-Elgin High School where I later served as a Teacher Cadet instructor and an Instructional Technology Specialist. I am honored to have been named 2003 Lugoff-Elgin High School Teacher of the Year and Kershaw County School District Teacher of the Year.
