Mrs. Rebecca Watkins

Currently, I work for the Educational Technology Services Department.  My career with Kershaw County School District started in September of 1996 as a Media Clerk at Bethune High School.  After starting there, one of my task assignments was assisting teachers with troubleshooting minor computer problems and adding work orders for hardware issues.  This experience led to my desire to get more involved with computer repairs which required more education.   Continuing to working full time with the district, I attended Central Carolina, Sumter Campus, as a part-time student. 

After the closing of Bethune High School, I was transferred to North Central High School for a short while.  An opening in the Technology Department became available and I have been in this department since 2000.  In 2002, I obtained an Associate Degree from Central Carolina, Sumter Campus with a major in Computer Information Systems.  I have an A+ certification and Network + Certification. 

Some of my current job responsibilities are processing all the district's technology Inventory, managing cell phones, cell phone distribution and invoices, conducting district wide yearly technology inventory audits at all 21 sites as well as other duties.
