After active duty with the Navy, I joined the Naval Reserves and went through college to become an English Teacher.  After several years of teaching and seeing a need for teachers in the area of special needs, I went back to school to get my M. Ed. in Special Education.  I have taught school for 24 years, and I continued in the Naval Reserves for 27 years until I retired.  I am married to a wonderful wife and together we have a terrific son.
