I am a product of the Kershaw County School District, and a native of Bethune, SC, where I graduated from high school in 1997. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Francis Marion University in 2000. I completed my certificate to teach English Language Learners from the University of South Carolina and my Master’s Degree in TESOL from Grand Canyon University. I have also taught at Dewey L. Carter Elementary and Bethune Elementary. My teaching experience ranges from 2nd - 5th grade, and now I teach multilingual learners in kindergarten-8th grade.
This is my 22nd year teaching and my 21st year in Kershaw County. I am currently the Multilingual Learner Program Specialist at Midway Elementary, North Central Elementary and North Central Middle School.
I have one son who lives in Lugoff, as well as my two dogs, Roxy and Indie. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy cooking, reading and spending time traveling when I can! Visiting new places is my favorite thing to do in my spare time.
