I am a native of Chester, SC. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Clemson University in 1979. I am also certified in the areas of Early Childhood Education and the Education of the Mentally and Emotionally Handicapped. I have been teaching for 39 years in South Carolina and Virginia.
My husband Ed and I have been married for 41 years and have two children and three grandchildren. Our son, Jason, is an aerospace engineer for Boeing. He and his wife, Rebekah, live in Seattle, Washington with their four-year-old daughter Anna. Our daughter, Ashley, is a seventh grade math teacher. She and her husband, Stephen, live in Moncks Corner, South Carolina with their six-year-old daughter, Hadley and 9 month-old daughter Kinsley.
Outside of school, I love to read, bake, and spend time with my family.
