Ms. Jones is a graduate from Bethune High School in Bethune SC.   She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Winthrop College, and she received her Master’s  in Early Childhood Education from The University of South Carolina.  She taught in Chesterfield County for 18 years prior to moving to Kershaw County.  She has taught Chapter One grades 1-5, fourth grade and second grade.  Ms. Jones is a National Board Certified Teacher and served as Chesterfield County’s National Board Liaison for upcoming National Board Candidates.  She has recently recertified as a National Board teacher and is a Thinking Map and Write from the Beginning and Beyond Trainer.  Currently, Ms. Jones is currently teaching third grade and looks forward to watching her third graders grow and learn.

        She has one daughter, Scarlett who is studying to be a pediatric nurse at Francis Marion University.   Ms. Jones’ heroes are her parents who taught her to never give up, a strong work ethic and that a person’s character is shown through actions not words.  Ms. Jones loves traveling, reading, trips to the beach, and learning new things.
