Welcome to another great year at Camden Elementary School!  I am thrilled to be starting my sixth year as principal of CES and my 36th year in education.  I have three adult sons and five beautiful grandchildren.  Being a military family, our service took us to Texas, Hawaii, Japan, as well as several assignments in South Carolina. When it came time to retire, there was no doubt where we would be making our home!  I have a BS in Education from Bowling Green State University, a Masters in Gifted Education and an Educational Specialist’s degree in Administration, both from Converse College.  I have taught elementary school, middle school and adult education.  I have also been an administrator at both the elementary and middle school level and worked as a director at the district office level.  While I have a wide range of experience, I have learned that the best place to be an administrator is at the elementary level.  In no other position can you get the hugs and high-fives, and see all the missing teeth in those beautiful smiles!  What can I say – I love my job!

Mrs. Beth White

I am so excited to be a part of Camden Elementary as Assistant Principal this school year! I began my career in education in 2006 after graduating from the University of South Carolina-Upstate with my bachelors in Elementary Education. In 2009, I earned a Master’s degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College, and in 2016 I earned a Master’s in Administration and Supervision from Southern Wesleyan University. This will be my 13th year in education and I have loved every minute of it!

Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, I taught for 2 years in Lexington 2 and for 10 years at Bookman Road Elementary, in Richland 2. During those 10 years I was a grade level team leader, served on School Improvement Council, and Leadership Team. I have been married for 12 years to my amazing husband, Jeramy. We have one precious daughter, Harper and 2 sweet chocolate labs! I believe that through communication and a positive environment, all students can reach their full potential. I look forward to working with each and every one of you as we go through your child’s educational journey this school year.
