Mrs. Sue Hardin

I am an occupational therapist who serves students who have been identified with special needs and for whom their core group of teachers and educational support staff have decided needs OT services.  Occupational therapy is a health profession that focuses on helping a person become as independent as possible whatever their function in life may be.  In the educational system, a student's main function is to learn and be as independent as possible within the school enviornment.  So my job is to help that learning happen and to help that student be as independent as possible.  This focus makes my job as an OT as different as each student that I serve, depending on where they may need the most help or in what areas they may have the most needs.

I was born in Camden and have lived here all my life with the exception of my college years.  I am married with 3 children who are all grown up and on their own.  I love my profession and my job.  Kershaw County School District has a great staff of special education teachers and it is a pleasure to work with them help their students every day.

I currently serve several schools in Kershaw County School District.  You will find me at North Central Middle School, Camden Elementary School, Jackson School, Mt. Pisgah Elementary School, Bethune Elementary School or Camden Middle School depending on the day of the week.
