Hello! I am Allison Newman and I was born and raised right here in Kershaw County!  I am the Literacy Coach at Lugoff Elementary and Wateree Elementary.  This is my first year as a coach and my 12th year in education.  Before coming back home to teach in Kershaw County, I spent four years teaching reading and math intervention in Horry County.  I received my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from North Greenville University and my Master of Arts in Teaching from Columbia International University. I am also trained in Orton-Gillingham Level 1. When I am not at school I love to read, spend time with my family, and take care of my fur baby, Beau.
