I began my teaching career in the Fall of 1987. I have taught in Kershaw County for 25 years and in Horry County for 1 year. This includes 18 years of teaching first grade, two years of teaching fourth grade, and four years of teaching second grade. I retired in April of 2014, but I just love teaching and couldn't stay away, so I became the part-time (ha!!!!) Literacy Coach in September 2014. I love what I do!
Besides teaching, I love to read, go to beach house, play with our 12 year old Boxer dog Junior, and shop (especially for shoes!). I am the owner and Director of the National League of Junior Cotillions Kershaw County Chapter for 21 years, where I teach manners, etiquette, character education, and ballroom dancing. I also write a bimonthly etiquette article for Camden Living magazine. As you can tell, I love to stay busy!
I have been married to my high school sweetheart and Junior Senior Prom date, Roy, since June 18, 1988. He is a certified financial planner with Lumen Wealth Management in Camden, SC. We have three children ages 27, 22, and 7.
