Mrs. Jennifer Manuel

Hello Everyone, I am Jennifer Manuel, the art teacher at Jackson School.    I went to college at USC to get my art education degree.  I am able to teach Kindergarten all the way through high school level.  I enjoy working with the younger group the most.  While in college my favorite types of art were painting big paintings and doing printmaking, particularly with etching.  I also love sculpture and working with clay.  I feel that I have every aspect of art in my spectrum.  I have two children, Robbie who is 10 and goes to Jackson with me and Brittany who is 19 and is at college at USC in Aiken, South Carolina.  My family and I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 lizards, and fish.  I am definitely an animal lover.  When I have my own quiet time I like to read.  I also love to cook and go grocery shopping, which is weird.  I am an eccletic sort when it comes to earrings.  I love to wear funky earrings to school to promote conversation and creativeness.  These are always the students favorites of interest.  I love art and I love teaching at Jackson school.  I am dedicated to helping each student find their creative side and enjoy art at some aspect.  I also continue to integrate other subject matter to my art lessons to accentuate their classroom lessons and complete the whole child.
