Mrs. Susan Trofatter
I am certified in Early Childhood Education and Learning Disabilities. I attended Clemson University where I received my BA in Early Childhood Education. I earned my Learning Disabilities certification while attending Converse College, and I earned a Masters in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Glenn, for 32 years and have one son, Eric, who recently graduated Clemson University with a degree in engineering and works for the USC Assistive Technology Project.
This is my thirty-first year as a teacher at Blaney Elementary.Previously I worked at Woodruff Junior High and Pleasant View Elementary. At Blaney I have taught half-day kindergarten, full day at-risk kindergarten, K-1 multiage, and regular full day kindergarten.
I love teaching kindergarten. It is a magical year where students go through amazing growth socially and academically. It is fun to see them gain independence and confidence as the year progresses. My favorite parts of teaching kindergarten are teaching children to read and teaching them to love school and learning. Kindergarten is an amazing journey and I love nurturing children to be the best that they can be.
