I graduated from Youngstown State University in 2004 with a degree in Early-Elementary Education.  To pursue my career as a teacher, I relocated to North Carolina and taught  in a Title One school.  My first years of teaching were very eye-opening.  The students and their families taught me more in those first years than I thought possible.  The passion I have for teaching continues to grow with each year I am with the students.  During my journey in N.C..  I met my husband and his two children.  Love (and the military) brought us to South Carolina.  I have been working in the district for 14 years.  In 2012, I earned my Master's Degree in Instructional Accommodations for the Divergent Learner.  The birth of my son in 2014 was a true blessing from God.  I was fortunate to transfer to Blaney to be close to my son's daycare,  and have the privilege to work within our community.  Our family loves living in Elgin, and I am proud to work at Blaney Elementary School.  Blaney is truly the heart of Elgin!!!  I am honored and blessed to work with your child this year.  If you need anything during  the school year, please contact me via email, class dojo,  or phone call.
