Hi and welcome to my page. I have been teaching for 26 years, with 21 of those being in Kershaw County. I graduated from Coastal Carolina with a BA degree in Elementray Education. I also recieved my masters degree from Francis Marion University in Instructional Accommodations for Divergent Learners. I am also highly qualified in Middle School Math, English, and Social Studies. I currently teach 7th grade math and Pre-Algebra. I was named WalMart Teacher of The Year in 2005 for the Northeast Columbia area. I serve as math department chair, a certified mentor, and evaluator.
I have been married for 25 years to my husband, Jon, a paramedic in Kershaw County. I have two sons. Nathan is a graduate of Central Carolina, with a major in Engineering Graphics Technology and Evan is a graduate of Lugoff Elgin High and enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. In addition, I also have two dogs, a German Shepard named Thor and a Bichon Freze named Casper!
I ablsolutely love teaching math and watching students have that "Ah-Ha" moment as they learn!!!
