B.S. in Secondary Education Minor in English M.Ed. Instructional Accommodation

Ms. Rebecca Sofish

I am very excited to be starting my eighth year teaching 6th grade Language Arts face to face here at Stover Middle School! Reading and writing are two skills that, no matter your career choice, need to be strong and developed to allow any person to be successful. I am very passionate about helping my students develop an understanding of these skills and why they will need them for the rest of their lives. Throughout this year my students will learn reading and writing skills that they will be able to apply to all subjects and to the remainder of their academic careers.

I am originally from the beautiful state of Pennsylvania. In 2011 I graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Secondary Education and a minor in English. December of 2019 I earned a Master of Education degree in Instructional Accommodations from Francis Marion University. Along with my love for teaching I am very passionate about coaching. This will be my third year as the head varsity girl's soccer coach at Lugoff-Elgin High School. This will be my eighth year coaching at the high school. I also love to Crossfit and watch Penn State Football! I am looking forward to fun and exciting year with your children.
