Mrs. Lindsay Alexander

Lindsay Alexander is the dance teacher at Lugoff-Elgin High school as well as the head coach for the Lugoff-Elgin Dance Team.  She began her dance training with the Columbia Conservatory of Dance at age five and participated in many productions of the Columbia City Ballet. Mrs. Alexander also trained with the Columbia City Jazz Company with which she completed a six-week tour in China (2006) and a two-week performance series in Singapore (2000). She attended Columbia College as a Teaching Fellow and graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education in 2010.  Lindsay was  previously the dance teacher at a public charter school, Lake City College Preparatory Academy from 2010-2012 and was named their Middle School Teacher of the Year for the school year of 2011-2012. She also served as dance teacher and testing coordinator at Spring Hill High School from 2013-2015.  In August 2014, she earned her Master’s degree in Elementary Education at Liberty University and is presently finishing up her certification in educational administration through Lamar University.  Presently, this is Mrs. Alexander’s fifth year here at LEHS.  She also teaches at the Palmetto Dance Center in Elgin, SC during her free time.
