Mrs. Von Duncan
Von Duncan, a 1995 graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High is in her 12th year of teaching, all being at her Alma Mater. Challenging her students to use their strengths to their advantage and to have fun while learning are key things for her. Duncan believes that ALL students can learn if someone is willing to teach them. Her goal is to bring lessons to life using a visual and hands-on approach.
Duncan was Kershaw County's 2010 Outstanding First Year Teacher of the Year, Lugoff-Elgin High's 2014 Teacher of the Year, and one of the 2014 Honor Roll Teachers in the running for Kershaw County's District Teacher of the Year.
She is married to Shane and together they have a daughter, Mikiah, a son Aliyahon, 3 Godsons, Zacchaeus, Zavieon, and Kabriel, and several basketball daughters. Life outside the classroom or gym for Duncan includes quality time with her main people, trying new adventures and crossing off her bucket list. She loves quotes, hiking, photographing life, and trying new foods/resturants and coffee. Her ultimate goal is to always leave people better than she found them.
Duncan is the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach and an Assistant Volleyball and Softball Coach here at LEHS.
