Mrs. Von Duncan
Welcome to Mrs. Duncan's class! Coach Duncan is a proud alumna and former tri-athlete of Lugoff-Elgin High. Once a Demon ALWAYS a Demon! This is her 9th year of teaching. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Anderson University and a Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in Special Education from the University of Phoenix. Mrs. Duncan is Kershaw County's 2010 Outstanding First Year Teacher of the Year, Lugoff-Elgin High's 2014 Teacher of the Year, and one of the 2014 Honor Roll Teachers for Kershaw County's District Teacher of the Year. She is the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach and the Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach here at LEHS.
Coach Duncan is a hands on, energetic teacher who strives to make learning fun. She believes in challenging her students to focus on their abilities and to use their strengths to their advantage. Coach Duncan is married to her college sweetheart, Shane and they have a daughter, Mikiah, a son Aliyahon, 3 Godsons, Zacchaeus, Zavieon, and Kabriel, and several basketball daughters. When she is not in the classroom or gym, Coach Duncan enjoys hiking, photography, and tasting new foods and coffee. Her ultimate goal is to always leave people better than she found them.
