Mr. Matt Spolski
I am the school counselor at the Woolard Technology Center. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Albright College and then completed a Masters of Education in Secondary School Counseling from Kutztown University. I coach boys cross country at Camden High. My wife is a social studies teacher at Camden Middle School. We have two children, Nolan (3) and Natalee (1).
After serving as a school counselor at Lugoff-Elgin High School for five years, I made a career move to Woolard Technology Center. This is my fifth year serving the students in the Career and Technology Education fields. My goal is to counsel and advocate for students, helping break down barriers to being successful in their academics, career and college development, and their personal and social life.
I assist students with class selection and scheduling, goal setting, organization, time management, increasing motivation, post-secondary education planning, exploring careers, job seeking, college and financial aid information, resumes and interviewing techniques. If a student is experiencing a mental health issue, I am available for counseling. Therapeutic mental health counseling services are available in the district as well.
For an appointment, students should inform their teacher and ask permission to come to the school counseling office.
