Mr. Chad Dixon
I am excited to begin my 27th year in education and my 3rd year as principal at North Central Middle School. I'm sure this year will be like no other but I am looking forward to meeting our challanges head on through this pandemic. Our theme this year is #PATRIOTSTRONG as we are stronger when we work together to overcome obstacles.
I received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Winthrop University in 1994 and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Argosy University in 2004.
I began my professional career at Bethune High School in 1994 as a physical education teacher. I also coached varsity football, basketball, baseball and softball while at BHS. In 1998, I began teaching and coaching at Myrtle Beach High School. I taught physical education and coached varsity football, basketball and boys tennis while there. I was fortunate to coach two State Championship teams at MBHS. In 2001, I was able to come home to my alma mater, North Central High. From 2001-2012, I taught physical education and coached varsity basketball, tennis, golf, volleyball, football as well as started the cross country program at NCHS. In 2012, I began my time in administration as assistant principal at NCHS where my primary focus was 10th and 11th graders.
I am a firm believer that with hard work and dedication a student can follow their dreams and go anywhere with a North Central education. This can be seen by our many alumni that have accomplished much in their careers as doctors, lawyers, professional athletes, professional singers, business owners, nurses, teachers, school administrators, police officers, and military leaders just to name a few. I am forever and always proud to be a part of the North Central community. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Jill and have four children, Caroline (21) Junior at Winthrop University, Madison (18) Freshman at the University of South Carolina, Aubrey (13) 8th grader here at NCMS, and Brayden (9) 3rd grader at Mt. Pisgah Elementary. You’ll see them with me at many North Central events.
