Mr. Mitch Lowder

This is my 39th year as a teacher and coach. 38 years in the Kershaw County School District.  I am looking forward to being part of the new North Central Elementary School. I taught at North Central High School for 26 years.  I will be teaching Kindergarten through Fifth-grade Physical Education.  In addition to my teaching duties, I am the head golf coach at North Central High School. I am married to Susan Horton Lowder. Together we have six children and eleven grandchildren. We live in Newberry, South Carolina. We enjoy traveling and going to college football and basketball games. We are active in Wightman United Methodist Church in Prosperity, South Carolina. I really enjoy trying to keep myself in shape by jogging, eating right, playing golf and spending time in my yard.  I have three favorite movies, Forrest Gump, Jaws, and Back to the Future 1,2, and 3.  One book that really moved me, "Unbroken", about World War II.  But my favorite book is the Bible. The Bible, God's Holy Word, has all the answers.

I pledge my best effort to help your child grow every day by being a team player, 100% invested in our community, and 100% dedicated and committed.

Before North Central High School I spent 7 years as a teacher at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School and coached at Lugoff-Elgin High School and was a teacher and coach at Southeast High School in Bradenton, Florida for one year. I am a 1983 graduate of the University of North Florida. My hometown is Fort Mill, South Carolina. I am looking forward to working with your child this year. Any questions or concerns please call.
