Mrs. Horton

Mrs. Horton is married with two children and 4 grandchildren.  She is a local who grew up in Kershaw County.  Mrs. Horton graduated from Camden High School in 1977.  She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Coker College and then her Masters in Instructional Accommodation from Francis Marion.  She also is a National Board certified teacher and was named First Alternate for Kershaw County Teacher of the year for 2013.  She has recently been recognized as a Numeracy Leader, the first in Kershaw County.  She has been with the district for 28 years in different capacities and currently works as a Fourth Grade Teacher.  She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and camping.  Mrs. Horton believes that all children can be successful and strives to make this a reality.
