    Week 37

        3 more weeks to go! Keep going! We are almost there.

       Tuesday grades 3 & 5 will completing SC Ready math. On Thursday 5th grade will complete SC Pass social studies .

             One of week of work, two weeks of play! We got this.

        This week we will be continuing to read Flora & Ulysses by Kate DiCamillo. We are enjoying the hilarious antics of Flora, as well as, learning new vocabulary.

            We would love to have some volunteers to help with the picnic. Pony rides and bounce house for a fabulous morning of fun.

    Week 36

        4 more weeks to go! Keep going! We are almost there.

       Tuesday and Thursday grades 3 & 5 will completing SC Ready. Writing on  Tuesday and Reading on Thursday. Try your best:)

             Two weeks of work, two weeks of play! We got this.

    Week 35

        5 more weeks to go! Keep up the hard work. We are almost there:)

       Two more days to buy cupcakes t support Relay for Life. $1 will help our class earn a cupcake party.

        Second and third grade will performing in an art night. Please blue jeans and a white shirt. Report to general education teacher at 5:45. I can not wait to see what they have practicing:)

       This week we will be gearing up for the test for grades 3 & 5. First and second grade will be getting ready for their performance.

        This week we will be studying The Ant and The Grasshopper.  We will be practicing our writing and learning about timelines.

       Volunteers for help with our picnic on May 29, will be appreciated. Pony rides and bounce for a fabulous morning of fun.

     Thank you for allowing me to teach child.

    Week 34

        6 more weeks to go! We can do this. Thank you so much for everyone who sent tissues. They were greatly appreciated.

        Wow! The Olympics were amazing!!!!! I hope you had a chance to come. The kids were so tired & the weather was perfect.

       Now! We are going to hit the ground running. This week will timeline/ and order of stories and events.

    We study vocabulary for a book called A cake for Herbie.

       We will also continue to take care of our worms and if time permits, plant some spring flowers on Friday. Have a great week.

    The past few weeks we have not won extra recess because not everyone is reading 20 minutes a night. This is group effort. Thank yo to those that read 20 minutes:)

    Week 33

        7 more weeks to go! We can do this. This great weather is creating spring fever. We are completely out of tissues. If anyone feels gracious to buy some, the students will be grateful.

        Last week grades 3-5 had a pep rally for testing. They got meet Sur Pur from the Carolina Panthers.

    He told them to SNAP. Get 10 hours of sleep, eat nutritional food, Get in a good attitude and Play 60 minutes a day.

        This week we will be reading and studying vocabulary for the book We Go Camping.  Have a great week.

    Week 32

        I hope you enjoyed your spring break. We are going to hit the ground running and hopefully picked up where we left off.

       This week we will read The Tortoise and the Hare .

        We will practice for the olympics as the weather permits. Please wear tennis shoes to practice.

        Thank you to all the parents that contributed to our Easter treats and tissue boxes.

       I am very proud of my classes grades and performance on MAP testing. I hope we can continue to stay in the groove through May.

    • Homework overall should take students 30 minutes or less. All worksheets, stories and Grammar lessons are reviewed in class prior to completing at home.

     



    Mrs. Watson will be selling paper cupcakes for $1 to raise money for Relay for Life. The class with the most cupcakes wins a cupcake party on May 1.

    Week 31

        4 school days until spring break.Please wear tennis shoes. We will be practicing races and enjoying the weather this week.

        Thank you Ms. Klein for the great birthday party. We had fun eating the cake and snacks. Celebrating Kadan’s birthday.

       This week we will continue to read Mr. Klutz is Nutz, by Dan Gutman and on Thursday we will do a book study on the classic The Egg Tree

        Report cards go home on Wednesday. Awards are Thursday at 1 in room 31. Refreshments to follow in room 33 immediately following the awards.

             We will be holding an Easter egg money hunt on Thursday, completing Easter crafts and sharing treats with our friends.

    Donations Of wrapped treats will be greatly appreciated.

        Enjoy your break. We will hit the ground running when we get back on April 9th.

    Week 30

        9 school days until spring break.Let’s enjoy the weather this week. I will try to organize outside learning.

       This week we will finish up our rainbow writing TDA. We will start to read Mr. Klutz is Nutz, and Princess and the Pea.

        End of nine weeks is Tuesday. Progress reports go home Tuesday, report cards go home next week. Awards are on Thursday at 1:00 pm in room 31.

             We will continue to practice for the olympics, this week and next week.

       Everyone has a runny nose. Any donations of tissues will be appreciated.

       Thank you for all you do to help meet our reading goal each week.

    Week 29

        14 school days until spring break. I am not sure about you, but I really am enjoying this weather.

        This week we will be MAP testing. Math on Tuesday, Language on Wednesday ( First grade does not test language),and reading on Thursday.

        We will finish up Winter According to Humphrey and we will celebrate Thursday night with providing pizza to families who join us for literacy night. Please RSVP.

        Thursday is also picture day. If you want a class picture it is $10. Spring pictures are paid for upon receiving prints.

        We will begin to practice for special olympics. Please wear tennis shoes to run races. Weather permitting.

       Everyone has a runny nose. Any donations of tissues will be appreciated.

    Congratulations Roman for winning the math bowl!

        We were very busy last week with many activates. The wax museum was wonderful. I am very proud of our performers.

         Read across America Day was fun with all of the readers and the activities that went on. The parade was wild! Thank you Mrs. Lawing for supporting us through these activities.

         This week we will continue to take care of the worms as the weather has cooled again. We will also continue to write and discuss our school wide book Winter According to Humphrey.

         As the weather warms up we will practice for the Olympics next week. Please wear tennis shoes so we can record time for competition.

    Thank you to everyone who turned the paperwork. I will be sending home bus permission slips this week. Thank you for allowing me to teach your children.
