Safety Procedures for Extracurricular Activities
As an increased safety measure, KCSD has clear bag procedures in place for middle and high school extracurricular activities.
Clear Bag Policy
Allowed: Clear Tote Bag - no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches
Approved Bags:
- Clear Tote Bag - no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches
- Clear Plastic Bag - no larger than one-gallon
Logos on clear bags cannot be larger than 4.5 x 3.4 inches.
Items that are allowed:
- Clear tote bag no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches
- Clear one-gallon plastic freezer bag
- Small clutches no bigger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches
- Medically necessary items (after proper inspection at gates)
- Keys, wallets, phones, credit cards, and cash may be carried in a pocket or by hand
- Seat cushions without pockets, zippers, compartments, or covers
- Umbrellas
- Clear rain ponchos
Allowed: 1 Gallon Resealable Clear Plastic Storage Bag
Items that are not allowed:
- Purses
- Bags
- Containers larger than a small clutch
- Backpacks
- Binoculars cases
- Briefcases
- Camera bags
- Cinch bags
- Coolers
- Diaper bags
- Fanny packs
- Computer bags
- Grocery or trash bags
- Luggage
- Mesh bags
- Tinted plastic bags
- All Tobacco Products: e-cigarettes, vapes, juuls, smokeless tobacco, cigars, cigarettes
- Outside food or drink
- Weapons
- Drugs
- Alcohol
- Laser pointers
- Artificial noisemakers
- Banners/flags/flag poles
- Non-service animals
