High school student reads to kids

The Kershaw County Read-In is an annual event organized by our librarians and schools where hundreds of Kershaw County School District students gather to celebrate the joy of reading. Originally held at Zemp Stadium, the Read-In features various activities, including dramatic performances, readings by older students, and free reading time. Each year, the event includes special entertainment, such as storytellers, musicians, and magicians, making it a fun and engaging experience for all participants.
