• Students explore world history beginning with hunter-gatherer communities to the early civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, and China.  The ancient empires of Greece, Rome and Africa are examined through to the time of the Renaissance, Reformation, and European Exploration.  Students will also examine the major religions of today's world.  The general themes we will explore are:

              -Time, Continuity, and Change  (History)

              -Power, Authority, and Governance  (Government)

              -People, Places, and Environment  (Geography)

              -Production, Distribution, and Consumption  (Economics)
