  • Parent Letter regarding school climate surveys-

    Stover Parents/Guardians:

The South Carolina Department of Education partners with the Education Oversight Committee to deliver a parent survey.  The responses to this survey help school and district leaders understand how parents feel about the school.  A link to this survey is being sent to the parents or guardians of every student in South Carolina.

If you have multiple children, you might get several links. We are only asking you to complete one survey for each school your children attend.  You are permitted to complete one survey for each of your children if you want, but only one survey for each school is needed.

This survey link was sent to you for a child at Leslie M. Stover Middle School.  Click on the link to complete the survey.  Thank you in advance for giving us your feedback.

All Stover-only car riders will enter from Smyrna Rd. and proceed straight (do NOT turn left towards Blaney). This road will now be a 2-way road to enter and exit Stover. Parents of Blaney and Stover children follow the route towards Blaney, drop your Blaney student off, proceed straight across and merge with Stover traffic at the car rider loop. Everyone will then stay to the right of the loop and exit to Smyrna. Please be aware traffic will no longer have two lanes to exit. It will be a two-way road. Thank you!

In addition to tutoring in content areas, students may also drop off papers for review, seek help in test preparation, or ask specific questions about their work. The around-the-clock service is available seven days a week.

Procedures and Expectations: To reiterate what the district office has already communicated, all transportation options will run at normal times, including buses and the car rider line. If your student is typically a bus rider and you prefer to bring them later, that is allowed. In regards to times, the doors will still open shortly after 7:00 am for the car rider line, and will remain open until 8:15 am. Students dropped off after 8:15 am will enter through the front doors, and get a tardy pass from the front office per usual procedures. Students' first class will begin promptly at 8:25 am. Please make sure all students are in the building to class on time. The students’ schedules, in regard to the order of classes, those will remain the same. If students arrive prior to 8:15 am, they will be directed to the following areas, 6th grade in the cafeteria, 7th grade in the gym and 8th grade in the band room. The academic procedures for those here at the normal time or who arrive before dismissal will involve a variety of activities. They need to have all materials with them. Students will work until 8:15 am, then we will start the process of releasing them to homerooms. We wanted to share with you an overview of how our procedures will work. Please reach out to administration with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your support.
