  • PTO

PTO stands for “Parent-Teacher Organization.” By becoming a PTO member, you'll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education. It is parents/teachers/staff coming together once a month to discuss our school and potential experiences our PTO may fund/offer to our children. You do not have to commit to anything. If you are interested in joining Stover Middle School’s PTO, please click on the link below and fill out the form. You will be contacted with information about our first meeting. Please sign up by October 4, 2020. If you have any questions, contact: jennifer.hoiland@kcsdschools.net

  • Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Run/Walk (Click to see links)

This is the 30th year for Columbia's Famously Hot Pink Walk for Life, 5K, 10K, and Marathon. Due to Covid and race restrictions, all races are now virtual and encouraged to be done where you live instead of downtown Columbia. The date of the event is Saturday October 3rd at 9am. Stover Middle School is going to hold a local 5k walk/run around the Stover/Blaney loop. If you would like to join "Team Stover Tigers" please follow the link below. If you join the team and donate, you will get an awesome shirt and sticker mailed to you after you register. If you decide you would like to participate in the walk/run, but do not want a shirt, you can still come and be a part of the event and donate any amount of your choosing. All money collected on October 3rd, will be added to the Team Stover Tigers donations towards breast cancer research. If you would like to participate but donate a different amount then what is asked, fill out the form linked below. So we can have an idea of how many people to expect.

  • 7th Grade TDAP Requirement

ATTENTION 7TH GRADE PARENTS – South Carolina immunization law requires all students entering 7th grade to be immunized with a pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine booster called TDAP after their 7th birthday. • Delayed Start Wednesdays

Procedures and Expectations: To reiterate what the district office has already communicated, all transportation options will run at normal times, including buses and the car rider line. If your student is typically a bus rider and you prefer to bring them later, that is allowed. In regards to times, the doors will still open shortly after 7:00 am for the car rider line, and will remain open until 8:15 am. Students dropped off after 8:15 am will enter through the front doors, and get a tardy pass from the front office per usual procedures. Students' first class will begin promptly at 8:25 am. Please make sure all students are in the building to class on time. The students’ schedules, in regard to the order of classes, those will remain the same. If students arrive prior to 8:15 am, they will be directed to the following areas, 6th grade in the cafeteria, 7th grade in the gym and 8th grade in the band room. The academic procedures for those here at the normal time or who arrive before dismissal will involve a variety of activities. They need to have all materials with them. Students will work until 8:15 am, then we will start the process of releasing them to homerooms. We wanted to share with you an overview of how our procedures will work. Please reach out to administration with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your support.
