Kershaw County School District is accountable to the local community, the South Carolina Department of Education, and the United States Department of Education, all of whom contribute to the funding of its programs.

Our nine-member Board of Trustees is elected by the local community to set the policies, to oversee operations, and to hire and evaluate the superintendent, who is held accountable for all district employees. The superintendent delegates authority to various administrators and principals. Principals are held accountable for all that takes place in their buildings and on their grounds.
