Art Club is an after school activity that is open to students of all grade levels. The meetings encourage lifetime learning in the visual arts. Art Club members will be reminded of upcoming opportunities for competition and exposure to art happenings at the local and state wide level. Meetings are on Thursdays and occur in the art room, 303. These meetings last until four and are sponsored and supervised by Ms. Davis. During the 2017-2018 year, Art Club was very popular. Due to the expectation of a large number of interested sixth grade students, both returning members and new students will be required to have two teachers fill out teacher recommendation forms. These can be picked up in Ms. Davis's classroom. While the fact that so many students are interested is incredible, I would like to keep the Art Club numbers down so that students can have a more individualized art experience. Students will be participating in lessons that will not overlap what they are learning in the classroom, so even if students are enrolled in art class, they will not be bored! This year we have some great projects coming up including some classroom improvement projects and fun activities such as tie dye!
