Mrs. Elizabeth DuRant

I am originally from Michigan where I attend Eastern Michigan University where I received my Bachelor of Science majoring in Emotional Impairment. I moved to South Carolina in 2002. I have taught several years in a variety of special education settings. In that time frame, I attended Southern Weseylan University to obtain my Master in Education.  Over the years in the field of education,  I have attended several professional development classes to intergrade a variety of strategies in the classroom to help students succeed. I am a dedicated teacher that will do my best to help students achieve their goals.

My philosophy is that it takes a village to raise a child. I am one piece of the puzzle to help mold a student. I believe it is important and a vial part of the student’s success in school to keep an open line of communication between a parent/guardian and the teacher. I am split between Mount Pisgah and Bethune. The best way to reach me is via email at, on Class DoJO or via phone at MTP (803) 475-6791 and at BET (843) 334-6278.

On a personal note, I am married and have one dog named Diesel who loves to sing. I love to sing, read, sew and play outside. My husband and I are foster parents and love to do activities with our church.
