November 9, 2017 - Kershaw County School District’s (KCSD) third-year students outperformed the state average on the 2017 ACT college entrance exam. The district’s average ranks it third highest among Midlands area school districts behind Lexington 1 and Lexington/Richland 5.

November 3, 2017 - Pine Tree Hill Elementary School first grade teacher Dianne Farlett and North Central Middle School 7th grade reading teacher Mary Barrett were named the 2017-18 Kershaw County Reading Teachers of the Year by the Kershaw County Reading Council last night. Bethune Elementary Principal Estelle Benson earned the award for Kershaw County Reading Administrator of the Year.
October 27, 2017 - The Kershaw County School District (KCSD) has been awarded grants from the SC Arts Commission (SCAC) and the SC Department of Education (SCDE) that provide close to $160,000 in additional resources for arts programs.
October 19, 2017 - Five Kershaw County School District teachers received Classroom Enrichment Grants from the Camden Junior Welfare League (CJWL). The League’s purpose is to improve and enrich the social and economic environment of Kershaw County children.
