    KCSD students to receive free meals during the 2023-2024 school year

    May 24, 2023 - All students in Kershaw County School District will receive free breakfast and lunch during the 2023-2024 school year as part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program.

  •  End-of-Year Half-Days

    KCSD 2023 end-of-year schedule and summer information

    May 22, 2023 - The Kershaw County School District (KCSD) will have half-days for students on May 25 and May 26, the last two days of the school year. Students in preschool special needs programs will not attend school on those days. Elementary schools and CLC will dismiss at 11:30 a.m., middle schools at 11:45 a.m. and high schools at noon. Woolard Technology Center students will be dismissed at 11 a.m.

    Kershaw County Adult Education Recognized as 'Outstanding Organization'

    May 15, 2023 - Kershaw County Adult Education is proud to announce that their partnership with the Kershaw County Detention Center has been recognized as a South Carolina Adult Education Outstanding Organization by the SC Department of Education, Office of Adult Education during the department's recent Celebrating Success program. This prestigious award is given to an agency, organization or institution at the local or state level, that exemplifies support and service in the development of adult and community education.  Kershaw County Adult Education's partnership with the Kershaw County Detention Center was honored for its commitment to providing high-quality education to adult learners. In addition, SCDE handed out honors to an Adult Education staffer and to a student in the Adult Education program.

    KCSD hosts annual Future Educator Signing Day

    May 15, 2023 - On Thursday, May 11, nine seniors representing Camden, Lugoff-Elgin, and North Central high schools participated in Kershaw County School District’s Annual Future Educator Signing Day. The event, hosted by KCSD’s Teacher Forum, celebrated students who have decided to pursue careers in the field of education.

    Pine Tree Hill teacher Corey Johnson named 2023 KCSD Teacher of the Year; Lugoff-Elgin Middle School teacher Sara Ponds to serve as first alternate

    Thursday, April 27, 2023 - Pine Tree Hill Elementary School fourth-grade teacher Corey Johnson was named 2023 Kershaw County School District (KCSD) Teacher of the Year at a celebration tonight, while Lugoff-Elgin Middle School chorus, piano and musical theater teacher Sara Ponds was chosen as first alternate.
