  • USC PLTW Design & Modeling Competition

    On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, students from Stover Middle School participated in the University of South Carolina's state-wide PLTW Design and Modeling Competition. Stover's PLTW teachers (Calvin Johnson, Michelle Johnson, and Kara Matney) took two groups of 3 students from their Stover Innovators Team to compete in the competition. Riley Slaton, Griffin Keeffe, and Cody Robbins won 2nd place overall for their design in the competition. Congratulations!

  • Individual Graduation Plan Meetings

    All 8th grade parents and guardians: Individual Graduation Plan Meetings (IGP Meetings) will begin on Monday, February 5, 2018. Post cards were mailed out on December 13, 2017, notifying you of the date and time in which your student’s meeting would be held. If for any reason you did not receive your individual postcard or forgot the date and time of your meeting, please reach out to Ms. Floyd, 8th Grade School Counselor and Career Specialist, as soon as possible.   • Flu Information

    FLU Season is upon us and we must all take action to help prevent the virus from spreading. The Center for Disease Control (cdc.gov) provides information for preventing the spread of the flu virus. “Avoid close contact with sick people, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, cover your coughs and sneezes, wash your hands often (with soap and water), and clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may be contaminated with flu viruses. If you become sick, limit contact with others as much as possible. Remember to cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and throw tissues in the trash after you use them. Stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone except to get medical care or for other necessities. (Your fever should be gone for 24 hours without the use of a fever-reducing medicine before resuming normal activities.)” Let’s all work together to keep our students and staff safe and healthy!
