It's going to be a GREAT year at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School.  The new LEMS school motto, "I Am, You Are, We Are L-E" includes all students, parents, and school personnel and is the spirit behind what makes LEMS the amazing school it is.  I've seen this spirit demonstrated time and again.  Lugoff-Elgin Middle School has a very special place in my heart and I'm honored to be a member of the faculty.

I dearly love and am so very proud of my family!  My husband, Guy, and I came to Kershaw County as new college graduates and we both began teaching (and coaching) careers.   We are thankful to have made the decision to make Kershaw County our home.  We have two married sons, Kyle and Matthew, who are both graduates of Camden High School and now have successful business careers.  Both our sons are married to beautiful young ladies, Molly and Brooke, both who are or have been teachers.  We are blessed to have three amazing granddaughters, Liz (11), Ellie(7), and Paisley(2).  We also have one grandons, Shep who will be one-year-old in September.

As a young girl, I realized teaching was the career path I wanted to pursue.  My life has been blessed and enriched by the many wonderful students I've been privileged to teach.  I look forward to the opportunity to work with the students in my classes during the 2019-2020 school year!
