    Chase is one of 100 students across our state to be selected

    to compete in the State-wide Geography Bee, sponsored by 

    the National Geographic Society.  

    Chase will comptere in Columbia on April 6th.

  • Phillip Double, Teacher of the Year

    Mr. Phillip Double, 7th grade social studies teacher, will represent our school in the district-wide 

    teacher of the year competition.  We certainly wish him well and know he will do a fabulous job

    representing North Central Middle School.  We are so proud of Mr. Double.  Please congratulate 

    him when you see him in the halls.

    Have you turned in your child's excuse?

    Excuse Reminders:

    • You must send in an excuse within 5 days of returning to school.
    • Excuses can be a doctor’s excuse or a written parent note.
    • It must state reason for absence.
    • It must be signed by parent or guardian.
    • Only 10 parent excuses are allowed during the school year
    • After 5 absences without a doctor or parent note, the child will be placed on a Truancy Intervention Plan

    Parents/Guardians in the Kershaw County School District have the right to learn about the following qualifications of their child's teacher: state licensure requirements for the grade level and content areas taught, the current licensing status of your child's teacher, and baccalaureate/graduate certification/degree. You may also request the qualifications of an instructional paraprofessional who serves your student in a Title I program or if your school operates a schoolwide Title I program.     I would like to welcome you to the North Central Middle School website! North Central Middle School is composed of three grades (6-8) with approximately 400 students. Our faculty and staff work hard in developing successful and responsible students by providing a positive, challenging, and safe environment in which to learn. Utilizing state of the art technology, our students are exposed to the curriculum in many innovative ways. We offer many programs to enhance the school experience for our young Patriots. Some of the programs include Pride of the Principal, Patriots Read, Patriot Pride Club, North Centrals Finest, Birthday Books Program, New Horizons, Our Time Together (OTT) and DEAR. These are just a few of the activities that are in place to support our vigorous educational program. I hope you enjoy your time learning more about North Central Middle School.
