CMS student wins state NAACP essay contest

CMS student wins state NAACP essay contest Camden Middle School student Aaliyah Tucker received first place in the South Carolina NAACP Essay Contest with an essay entitled “How Public Education Advances the Dream.” She read it on the steps of the Statehouse during the King Day at the Dome and received $100 for this award. Aaliyah is the daughter of Rhonda and Vernon Tucker.
