  • Stover Middle Literacy Reward

Objective:  To improve the literacy of all students at Stover Middle, while providing an opportunity to earn rewards, culminating with a major reward at the end of the school year.

Criteria:  Students must meet the following criteria to be able to gain rewards, notably the major one at the end of the year. Please note that the completion of the log is a must for everyone and then the next two are a one or the other, but students are STRONGLY encouraged to do both to ensure they get to participate in the reading award.

     I.  Complete the reading log for 90% of the days your class has SSR and access to the log. This will be calculated based for each homeroom.  Medical excuses will be the only accepted excuses for days missed outside the 90%.

II.  Must read 2 books. One must be in or above the student's Lexile range and is approved by the homeroom teacher.

                                                                                  OR

Students must meet or exceed their projected growth for reading by Spring testing.
