    basketball on fire
We will once again have our 2nd annual basketball bash on Friday, January 6th, the last day of 1st semester.  It will be structured a little differently this year.  Kids will be called out of class starting around 1:00pm, and the day will start with our contests (3 point shootout, dunk contest, etc.).  The finale this year will be the faculty student game around 2:30.
Ticket sales will begin on Tuesday, January 3rd, when we come back from break and go through lunch on that Friday.  Students MUST have a ticket to leave your class 3rd block.
If you are interested in playing on the faculty team or helping out in some way, I will have a google doc set up by week's end for you to sign up on.

Thank you in advance for your help, and looking forward to another great turnout this year.  GO DEMONS!!!!

  • Classroom Spotlight--World War I Student Poetry- Mrs. White's Class

Posted by Anne Lemieux at 11/28/2016

Fall 2016  Students in Honors World History reviewed paintings from WWI and choose one to write a response poem. The poems were written in a group where each group member helped to write the poems by responding to their classmates. These Renga poems were edited and shared with the class.

    Mad dinner

Join the Madrigal Singers of LEHS for our 2nd annual Renaissance Madrigal Dinner. A Madrigal Dinner is a 21st Century re-creation of the Renaissance feasts held in the great baronial halls throughout England during the twelve days of Christmas. In our 21st Century recreation of these feasts, there will be a "masque" or play during the evening interspersed with song, dance, and music, combined with early English dialogue and laughter to bring to the audience a wonderful immersion into Renaissance England. The ambiance of the evening is one of warmth, laughter, love and joy. The masque generally ties together the main theme of the event, beginning with a welcome by the Jester and continuing through short entertainments during the meal, culminating in the presentation of the masque itself. A short concert by the Royal Court follows the play.

The event will take place in the LEHS Annex Gymnasium at 7:00. Seating starts at 6:30 pm, tickets are $35, Dec 16th and 17th.

Tickets may be purchased online at
